We met Loretta at DFH’s when we got behind on our loan payments. Loretta was the one who phoned me, telling me she’s interested in helping my wife and I keep our home. I thought She was one of those ‘we buy houses’ investors. I told Loretta I had an appointment scheduled to speak to the lender that upcoming Thursday, hoping she would leave me alone. In fact, she asked if she could call back to ensure that my wife and I had understood all what was told to us by the Lender. I said yes to that and like clockwork, Loretta had phoned me on Thursday. At that point, I had to come clean; I could have hung up on Loretta and remained hidden, but something in me wanted to see how she and her team could help solve our problem. So, I shared some things, Including my illness, I had been battling, which kept me out of work and from making money. And this was the Lender’s case for not being able to help in our time of need. That conversation, that evening, left me more hopeful, than I felt in a long time. In the end, my wife and I were able to remain in our home. It seems we had enough equity, and they fixed it to have the home start paying us now. That made us really happy!

When I received the phone call from Mr. Foreman, one of the member consultants at DFH’s. I was in a bad headspace. But that did not stop him from speaking with me. With his bubbly personality, he pushed through my disposition, and before I knew it, we were sharing our fav’s from the Netflix top 10.
